To get to one of the most beautiful beaches in Ilhabela, you can choose to take a boat ride, which takes about 30 minutes or, for the more adventurous, a four-hour trip through the forest. In addition to the beaches and numerous leisure options, Ilhabela has a charming historic center called Vila.
This is where the charming Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora D'Ajuda e Bom Sucesso is located, built in 1803 with a blue and white facade.
The former jail and forum, the current administrative headquarters of Ilhabela State Park, is another attraction, offering exhibitions on environmental, biological and historical education. It is worth walking around the region, especially on Rua do Meio, a pedestrian street with shops, bars and restaurants.
The Nautical Museum is another interesting tourist attraction, bringing together a series of objects rescued from the various vessels that sank in the region in the past, such as the Prince of Asturias.

PEDRAs DO SINO Garapocaia Beach or Pedras do Sino is home to one of the most curious attractions in Ilhabela: stones that emit metallic sounds, similar to church bells, when they are hit by hard objects. A wooden walkway, in the right corner of the beach, leads to the rocking stones. One of the most famous legends of Ilhabela tells that in the mid-17th century a caravel of pirates appeared on the horizon at dawn. When the pirates were ready to fire their cannons, the entire population of Ilhabela was awakened by bells and could prepare for battle. There appeared the warrior São Sebastião, who made the pirates flee. It was the island's Indians who explained the origin of the chimes, shouting “garapocaia”, which means “stones that play”.
TOURIST PIER AND RUA DO MEIO Historic Center (Vila) Built in the vicinity of the Villa. Thousands of tourists arrive at Ilhabela via the pier while their cruise ships are anchored in the São Sebastião Channel. Rua do Meio, charming boardwalk with historic buildings where shops selling beach items and souvenirs, in addition to bars and restaurants, is a must for tourists.

Três Tombos Waterfall
11 km south of Vila There are three easily accessible falls, in front of the main entrance to Fazenda São Mathias, close to Praia da Feiticeira. the first waterfall

Cat Waterfall
24 km east of Vila Cachoeira do Gato is one of the most important and most visited waterfalls on the entire island. The waterfall is approximately 46 meters high, on an imposing rock wall, creating a spectacular landscape. BONETE Trail
36 km south of the village (13.3 km of trail) The Bonete trail is the longest and one of the most traditional in Ilhabela, leading to the beautiful Praia do Bonete, at the southern end of the island. There are 13.3 km of hard walking, starting at Ponta da Sepituba, in a route that varies from 3 to 6 hours, depending on the pace of the adventurers. It is essential to accompany tourist guides or monitors from the Ilhabela State Park. Along the way, the visitor travels along a trail of great natural beauty, with rivers, waterfalls and several species of fauna and flora of the Atlantic Forest.
