 Ilhabela State Park offers visitors various activities such as walking on tracks of different levels, rising to the peak and lookouts with panoramic views, observation of fauna and flora, bathing in waterfalls and natural pools, besides giving access to traditional caiçaras communities that preserve its rich culture in the architecture of their houses, crafts, way of life and traditions.

Pico Baepi

The track Baepi Peak is one of the most sought after by ecotourists who enjoy more challenging walks. Before the first kilometer, the trail has a beautiful gazebo with panoramic views of the São Sebastião Channel, which overlooks the State Park of Serra do Mar, the cities of Ilhabela, São Sebastião and Caraguatatuba, and Islands as the archipelago of Alcatrazes protected Ecological Station, the horizon.

The walk starts in open area and then enters the Atlantic Forest. Agua Branca

is one of the most popular state park and starts in Guardhouse Road Castelhanos. It is suitable for all kinds of audiences, from less experienced visitor to that used to go hiking. 5 are ideal natural pools for swimming, (the first of which is about 100 meters from the start) and an observation tower of birds. The track for the round trip and tour of the Castilians road is suitable for bird watching at dawn.

 

Cachoeiras da Pancada d' agua  (3 Tombos)

3 waterfall sIt is the shortest and accessible trail .

3 Tombos Waterfall  is easily accessible, can be reached by car just a few meters from the first fall. It is close to the Praia da Witch in the south of the island and is called three falls because there are three water-falls .

Ideal for those who want to walk little, take a quick shower and still have experience of walking through the Atlantic Forest. The region has great quantity and diversity of birds.

 

Veloso Waterfall

Veloso waterfall with a drop of more than 30 meters highLocated near the beach of the same name, the waterfall Veloso has the highest drop of all the front of the waterfalls of the island, with more than 30 meters high. Bonete

Located in the south of the island end, the Bonete trail passes by one of the preserved Atlantic Forest and along the way you can observe many species of flora and fauna. It goes through beautiful rivers and offers good swimming in natural pools and waterfalls. The trail is used by traditional community Bonete, since, beyond the sea, is the only access to the urban area of ​​the island. The community Bonete has about 70 caiçaras families that preserve the wealth of their traditional culture. The beach of white sand and good waves for surfing is ideal for those who want tranquility, contact with nature and the local culture.When visiting the Bonete community to be responsible and respect local residents. Cat Waterfall

Cachoeiras da Friagen

Route: 2.4 km (round trip)

Attractions: Atlantic Forest,

located in the area of ​​Beach Siriúba, is the only official attraction of the park in the north of Ilhabela. Along the trail you can enjoy an incredible view of the São Sebastião Channel and the mountainous landscape, and the sight of the Serra do Mar. At the beginning of the trail, amid the Atlantic Forest, one can see various species of both fauna as flora, such as lizards and Brazil wood. Continuing the walk, we can see the different stages of vegetation, entering a Sapezal area where you can have a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Arriving near the waterfall area you can see the regeneration of the Atlantic. The Waterfall Big Chill has waterfall of 25 meters high, but we must be very careful when walking on the rocks are slippery.

 

Castelhanos
